Secretary Needed

The Cheyenne Rifle and Pistol Club is looking for a person to assume the Secretary position. The person can contact Ken Roylance, 307-631-3722. A prospective applicant needs to submit a resume to kenroylance@msn.com. The secretary will be appointed by the Board of Directors and must meet the requirements of a member of the Board.

Secretary Job Description in Bylaws: The Secretary shall keep the Minutes of all meetings in one or more books provided for that purpose; see that all notices are duly given in accordance with the provisions of these Bylaws or as required by law; be custodian of the corporate records; keep a register of the post office address of each member as provided by the member; and in general perform all duties incident to the office of Secretary and such other duties as from time to time may be assigned by the President or the Board of Directors. If required by the Board of Directors, the Secretary shall be bonded for the faithful discharge of duties.
The Secretary will serve until they are not re-elected by the Board of Directors or until they tender their resignation. The Secretary will have all the rights and privileges of the Board of Directors.

To avoid any possibility of conflict of interest, any member who has been a qualified member of the Club for three successive years may be elected to the Board of Directors as long as he or she is not a voting member or an officer in another local Club having the same purposes and objectives as the Cheyenne Rifle and Pistol Club.

The secretary is responsible for membership renewal notification annually, via e-mail or mail, issuance of annual membership cards, presenting an annual newsletter to the membership, and maintaining a key inventory.
